What are the best beat programs for creating beats?

Hey, Andrew here… and you’re reading my honest, unbiased and uncensored reviews of the best beat programs on the market…

So, what are the best beat programs available?

OK, here’s my list of the most popular beat production programs available today in order of price, starting with the most affordable.

Sonic Producer – $29.95

Best beat programsSonic Producer is an entry level online beat maker that you can use to create music. Its very easy to use so its great if you’re just starting out.

It has loads of sound samples built in so you can produce very unique tracks. Once you’ve built your track you simply click a button to download it to your hard drive in MP3 format.

You can use it on any computer, as long as you have an internet connection. You simply log-in on the members website and start creating your beats. Some people see this as an advantage but I personally prefer to have the software installed on my hard drive.

Cyber Sequencer - $29.95

Cyber Sequencer

Cyber Sequencer is one of the latest entry level products to hit the market. Its quite similar to sonic producer in that its very user friendly and it also has tons of sound samples built in.

However, its different because you can download the software and install it on your computer hard drive so you don’t need an internet connection to produce beats. There is an online version as well, so you can make beats that way if you like.

It uses 44.1 stereo 16 bit .WAV file format (that’s the industry standard studio quality), which is much better than MP3.

Dub Turbo - $39.95

DUB TurboDUB Turbo is almost identical to Cyber Sequencer. Its made by the same company and its basically Cyber Sequencer’s predecessor (DUB Turbo was released about a year before).

Like Cyber Sequencer, it uses the highest quality sound file format, its available for download and there’s an online version.

The main differences between the two is the actual sound samples and the bonuses that come with each product. Other than that, its just a slightly different looking user interface.

The reason Cyber Sequencer is cheaper is probably because its the special launch price. (When DUB Turbo was released, it was also $29.95)

However… I’m giving you access to a special $10 discount link below (or at the end of my full review) so if you do decide to buy DUB Turbo here, you’ll get it for the original launch price of $29.95.

Music Producer Pro - $39.95

Music Producer ProMusic producer pro is a comprehensive training course or workshop geared towards music production. Its run by a guy named Jay Dynasty who has over 20 years experience as a professional producer.

It also comes with an online beat making program which you log-in to like Sonic Producer, but the main focus of the course is music production training. There’s a lot of value in this product and you really get your moneys worth.

Sony Acid Pro 7 – $319.95 (Packaged) – $299.95 (Download)

Sony Acid Pro 7 is a professional DAW and is my favourite of the pro level beat makers.

If you’re serious about creating and producing music then this is an amazing piece of software.

The sequencing engine in the program has been perfectly written and because of this it produces the highest quality tracks…

It includes a powerful set of real time features.

One of the best and easiest to work with… it seems to work like musicians think.

My conclusion on the best beat programs?

If you want the availability of an online beat maker and you’re not too concerned about MP3 quality, Sonic Producer is a great piece of software.

Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing bad about MP3… its just not broadcast quality.

If you do want the best quality for your tracks, I give DUB Turbo and Cyber Sequencer my highest recommendation. I use DUB Turbo all the time and I love it!

Cyber Sequencer is still quite new to me but the more I use it, the more I like it… and its actually a bit more usable than DUB Turbo (it takes less clicks to build your tracks).

I’m used to DUB Turbo so I personally prefer it, but if I’d never seen either of them before, I’d probably go for Cyber Sequencer because its newer and its sort of like an updated version of DUB Turbo.

If you want to make beats online, but you’re also interested in quality training, Music Producer Pro is truly an amazing program. Jay really over delivers with this course and I mean, you can’t go wrong with a guy who’s got so much professional experience.

Now if you’re looking for a professional level beat maker, Sony Acid Pro 7 is an excellent choice and I highly recommend it!
